Our Story
With fine interior design and extensive commission work in her portfolio, Anna is passionate about creating stunning interiors.
Born in Cornwall, next to the beach, Anna found herself enjoying colour and texture at a very young age, from slate to local Pentewan stone, from the colour of the sand and sea, to fields and Cornish stone walls, she found herself growing up and loving it all even more.
In later years, Anna attended a convent school and lived in a traditional old Spanish town, full of character and charm, that was also steeped in heritage architecture and Moorish influences. Here she appreciated the vibrant use of colour and buildings and interiors made of Tosca stone (not too dissimilar to Pentewan stone). This is where Anna has drawn some of her interior Design influences from. Interior Design in Cornwall, where she is based, produces wonderful materials, inspires her to create bespoke finishes using traditional methods for her design, interiors and her collections.
Anna is blessed to know Cornwall and Spain and their distinctive heritage features, along with here training and vast experience it makes her the designer she is today.
When she approaches a project Anna always has in mind the importance of unique design and bespoke craft, combining old traditional methods with new. Translating far flung travels into her interior design. Homes should be a backdrop to life, full of memories and things that have been collected. Art and artefacts and interests are key to individuality. Materials are also key to interiors. They bring depth and texture, from rattan to marble, cracked ebony, wood, glass and ceramics, to name just a few, and in Cornwall we have some amazing artists in many areas such as craft and ceramics.
Our interiors are influenced from Spanish and French architects and designers with a Cornish interior twist, using the sea and Cornish landscape as inspiration.
Anna takes most inspiration, along with her training, from her upbringing, with her family being involved in property, gardens, antiques and interiors for many years. Anna you could easily say “was brought up on it“, with the added keen interest in architecture, history and nature.
